VIVA’s line of nutraceuticals has been put to the test in clinical studies that prove the products work.

VIVA’s premier line of nutraceuticals is backed by clinical studies and published in peer-reviewed medical journals, such as Medical Science Research, Journal of the National Medical Association, and the American Association for Cancer Research. Some of our breakthrough products have been the focus of news stories on ABC, NBC, CBS, and Fox television. National magazines, like Prevention, have also included information about our products and related clinical trials.

Each year, VIVA spends millions of dollars on research projects both here in the U.S. and in prominent medical institutions overseas. VIVA stands behind their first-rate products. See for yourself the clinical studies that have been published for the following cutting edge products:

DailyGuard study published in The Journal of Nutritional Biochemistry in 2001:

DailyGuard showed significant improvement of immune system response and antioxidative vitamin and enzyme status of the blood.

DailyGuard™ Study 2001

DailyGuard study published in Medical Science Research in 1999:

DailyGuard showed specific cardiovascular health support by effectively maintaining healthy, normal cholesterol levels, primarily by antioxidant effects to reduce oxidation of cholesterol in the blood.

DailyGuard™ Study 1999

SelGuard study published in Anticancer Research in 2000:

In this in-vitro laboratory study, SelGuard’s selenium was shown to enhance chemotherapeutic effects and promote cellular death of rogue cells.

SelGuard™ Study 2000 (color, large file – 13MB)

SelGuard study abstract published in the Proceedings for the American Association for Cancer Research in 1999:

The SelGuard study abstract was presented at the annual meeting of the American Association for Cancer Research.

SelGuard™ Study Abstract 1999

LipoGuard study published in the Journal of the National Medical Association in 1997:

LipoGuard, containing a proprietary blend of concentrated fish oil and garlic, showed significant cardiovascular health support by favorably enhancing the maintenance of healthy, normal cholesterol levels.

An FDA report in 2000 reviewing the effects of fish oil on LDL cholesterol shows this study as the only one out of 24 comparisons to actually lower LDL (bad) cholesterol in clinical test subjects. See “Morcos 1997″ reference in Table 2 of the report for results:

LipoGuard™ Study 1997

VIVA Shield study published in Medical Science Research in 1996:

VIVA Shield, containing antioxidant vitamins A, C, and E, and the mineral selenium showed a statistical reduction of oxidation of blood cells, thus supporting the body’s immune system response by reducing free radical damage to the cells.

VIVA Green Barley study published in the Nutritional Sciences Journal in 2005:

VIVA Green Barley was shown to effectively support normal serum lipids in high triacylglycerol animals, suggesting that supplementation with VIVA Green Barley may promote cardiovascular wellness.

LipoGuard® acute and chronic toxicity study published in The International Journal for Vitamin and Nutrition Research in 2001:

This is the first time a toxicity study for a dietary supplement has been published in a top peer-reviewed journal. The 12-month study on LipoGuard performed from June 1995 to December 1997 showed no evidence of organ or biochemical toxicity with long term, high intakes of LipoGuard’s unique fish oil and garlic combination. The publication also confirmed LipoGuard’s benefits of maintaining healthy, normal cholesterol and triglyceride levels.
